Customers who are in search for powerful headphones might be in luck with the new AKG N60 NC. This new headphone comes with some interesting new specs that could make the device a huge competitor for other similar products on the market.

As we know, among the best headphones on the market is Boses’s QuietComfort 25.

So, the question is why should customers should opt for AKG N60 NC instead of Bose’s successful line? 

Well, probably the huge selling point is AKG’s portability, because this new headphone will take up less room in users’ bag.

This new on-ear headphone is smaller to other headphones on the market and also folds up and flats to fit in an included attractive carrying case. The new AKG N60 NC weighs approximately 6.3 ounces without the cord connected. As for the price, it is available for 250 dollars, which is little less expensive than Bose QuietComfort 25.

Probably, customers will say that AKG N60 NC is not as comfortable as Bose’s headphone. They could be right, but AKG N60 NC is very comfortable for a one-ear headphone, featuring soft leather-covered earcup and it is also well built.

This new headphone comes with a bit of aluminum, being attractive and good-looking. However, this could be shocking, but the new AKG N60 NC sounds better than the Bose.

AKG’s headphone comes with an incredible sound, very clear, and offers more detail and tighter bass.

As for downsides, AKG has a few of its own. As we know, Bose QuietComfort is powered by a single AAA battery, which is a good thing.

Well, on the other side, AKG N60 NC comes with an integrated rechargeable battery that offers approximately 30 hours of active noise canceling.

However, if the battery runs out, users will still be able to listen in passive mode without being powered. The noise canceling feature is not as good as Bose’s. Another downside is that AKG N60 NC doesn’t have Bluetooth, meaning that this is a wired headphone.

Another minus for the new AKG N60 NC is that instead having a standard micro USB charger, users will have to charge it via the headphone jack with a 2.5mm sub-mini plug to USB cable. This means that if users will lose the charging port they would not be able to charge the headphone anymore.

To be added that AKG N60 NC doesn’t have volume controls situated on the headphone cord, but only a one-button universal remote that allows users to pause and play tracks, skip tracks forward and back and answer and end calls. As for the call quality, it is pretty decent.

To be added that being a noise isolation headphone, it will lose a little bit of sound quality, but AKG N60 NC offers a good and clear sound.

Other competing models on the market, besides Bose QuietComfort 25, include Philips Fidelio NC1, which is another one-ear noise-cancelling headphone with great sound. However, Philips’ version doesn’t offer such good performance and costs more.
