The US president, Joe Biden, has indicated this Wednesday that it is “unlikely” that the missile that caused an explosion in Poland , near the border with Ukraine, was fired from Russia, and announced that the G7 and NATO will support the investigation of the Polish government about the incident before taking “further steps”.

Asked by the press about whether the missile was fired by Russia, Biden said: “There is a lot of information that contradicts that. I don’t want to say it until we fully investigate, but it is unlikely due to the trajectory that it was fired from Russia.”

The US president made the remarks at the end of an emergency meeting of the G7 and NATO leaders on the sidelines of the G20 summit , which is being held on the Indonesian island of Bali.
